I say get what your heart is desiring now, has been for a long time or you will regret if you don't buy what you've lusted for. Easier said then done. I picked up a set of 18" Manarays with cotter pins and all. Took me 20 years to find and had to source from Hong Kong. I'm not to into the new designs of wheels. I'm old. 90's kid. Weight is another thing to think about. Some of these wheel kids are putting on these days are absolute concrete slabs and weight 35-45 .lbs. But they are easily available, cheap, and "trendy". I think 17's look great. It's a 90's car ( EARLY 90's! ) 19's look absolutely awful. That being said. Here are my go to's but I know they don't meet your criteria.
There is a guy who will rebuild OEM wheels to a 3 piece 17" or 18" size. Last Ive heard he has a long waiting list and is very $$$ ** Veilsides pop up online few times a year. But finding a complete is a bit hard. Generally all the wheels above will need a rebuild or restore. *** 3 piece wheels can be resized to your offset as desired. So if you find a set of any of the above and the offset is to shallow / deep just have them build to your desire. **** Don't think of the wheels as an investment but with the above you're pretty much to make your money back if not more if it ever came time to sell them. sensei6.com jdmdistro.com Are great sources for hard to find JDM wheels with reasonable prices. Sensei6.com is great because they do full restores. * Albeit I have no experience with them yet.
